After obtaining the suitable crystal, the next step is to cleanse it. That means neutralization of all absorbed energies  from external factors that are probably not in harmony with you or your cause.

Crystals and gems absorb all kind of vibrations, positive and negative. Are always open to accept and record the energies that surrounds them.  Since we cannot know what kind of energies they have absorbed until they come in our hands, we need to cleanse them immediately.

With cleansing we neutralize them and erase any kind of energies or programs on them. Cleansing needs to be done with specific and positive intention.

In order to cleanse your gem and crystals :

1.      Place them in a glass bowl with no patterns, where you have already dissolved enough salt with water. Leave them in for one day or more if you feel they need it.

The gems of New Ages and crystal quartz need no salt, since they get dehydrated.  Despite all, I suggest you ask them with your pendulum if they need cleansing with salt, due to intense negativity or sock. Remember, there is also salt from Himalaya, that is refining enough and can be easily accepted by the gems.

2.      You can also add in the salted water (if you wish) some drops of " Seraphis Bay"  by Aura Soma and "Grab Apple" by Dr E. Bach's  flower medicine or other purifying ethereal oils such as eucalyptus sage, rosemary and juniper which besides cleansing also give a sense of contact with earth, their natural environment.

3.      Burry them in earth that will absorb all the negativity they have. It is much better to place them directly in earth and not in a pot.

4.      Hold the crystals for  some time under cool running water, visualizing all the negativity go with the water.

5.      Create a circle of one peak quartz ( programmed for the specific work of cleansing gems ), with the peaks turned in the centre of the circle, where you will place your gem to be cleaned.

6.      An even more intense variant of the above technique is to place 4 crystal quartz on the 4 peaks of a square leaf of copper and in the middle the gems we need to clean.

If you follow methods 5 or 6, after finished immediate refreshment of the energy of crystal quartz is needed, as mentioned.

After any treatment  it is necessary to clean all gems.

Some gems do not stand even cool water e.g. pearl, malachite, turquoise and more.
